UPLC
Ultra-high performance liquid chromatography (UPLC) is an advanced chromatographic technique that combines the high resolution and rapid analysis features of liquid chromatography (HPLC) to further improve separation efficiency and speed. UPLC uses smaller particle packings, usually under 5 microns, which allows faster mass transfer, which significantly improves column efficiency and separation capacity. In addition, UPLC also uses a high-pressure infusion system and a highly sensitive detector, which greatly shortens the analysis time, usually within 1 hour or even less.
